I'm adding more covers - like The Enchanted Schoolhouse, Storm Canvas, The First Book of England, of books we share. Enjoy!

My library is for myself. I used to think it was for my children (and why I started collecting children's books originally), but the truth is out. I think I would be happy if they wanted to take great chunks of it with them, but so far that hasn't happened (and only one has moved away so far).

I just added The Little Juggler's cover. You have a gigantic library, don't you, with more of my books in it than anyone else on LT. I'm being more scrupulous about adding every last booklet, etc. It's all fun to me, but I am trying to weed out some books I really don't care about, like old textbooks that probably no one will ever use -- if they ever did.

I added a cover for The Runaway Soldier and other tales from Russia. My copy has gorgeous endpapers - does yours? However, I don't have the dustjacket for it.

Thanks for telling me about the cover for A Small Child's Bible. Someday, maybe I'll get a copy with a cover. For now, I'll keep myself honest -- and only show the faded blue cover it actually has.
Can you believe how many books we share? It's really something!

I was just bemoaning on Amy's (SaintSunniva's) page that I have lost the link that gives a list of all the coverless books in one's own library! But when I did have it I made extensive use of it.
Apparently your library is more similar to mine than mine is to yours (have I got that the right way round?); yours always appears in the top five similar libraries on my profile page and mine doesn't show up on yours at all!

I just added A Grandma for Christmas -- I'm in the middle of adding covers for my many books to do with Norway.

I'm adding covers for all my Petersham and D'Aulaire books. Some are rebound ex-lib and so, if the cover is particularly bland, I'm using an illustration or the title page in lieu of the true cover.

Today I added a cover for Pelagie Doane's *A Small Child's Bible*. Unfortunately my copy is faded, and no dust jacket...but I looked again at the illustrations within. They are SO remarkably good, in my opinion. What do you think of it?

i saw the link to your profile page in the list of really large collections and just clicked on it for the heck of it. (i'm fairly new to this site; i've been on it for about a month.) it's neat to see the books we have in common - subjects range from operas to churchill's account of wwii to 84 charing cross rd to godel, escher, bach .... but i'm really writing because the mention of the "read-aloud handbook" in the comments on your page sent me googling to find jim trelease's web site where i just spent about 45 minutes reading healthy chunks of the online version of his book. what a delight! i've always enjoyed reading aloud. it's great to read such an affirmation of it. along these lines, i think you'd enjoy reading the call of stories by robert coles. the first chapter alone is worth the price of the book - a great description of how the author's parents read aloud to each other great works of literature, like war and peace!
