About my library Limited by the confines of a city-sized apartment, but we pack as much in as we can. Our library* is full of media studies, gender studies, and cultural American history books. In my not so copious free time, I'm getting back into reading fiction (and am taking suggestions)! I just realized that I've been unconsciously been working my way through Booker Prize winners...

*This LT account is a combined library with my wife. Separating out whose books are whose would be more trouble than it's worth.

Hi Abby,
Thanks for the note!

Hi Abby,

Still awaiting "Schooled" from June batch, I think. I'm trying to be patient, but this is even longer than the last time. Hope it is on the way soon. Best, Michelle
Hi Abby -
I'm excited to review my first Early Reviewers book! Is there a deadline to post a review?
Thanks,
Laura "ldwhite"
Hi Abby,

I still haven't received my copy of Smugglers yet. Please don't hold the lack of review against me! If I ever get my copy I'll let you know.

Thanks
How do I get notifications of when the Early Reviewers books come out for request? I thought I used to see them in my email, but I no longer do.

I'm so bummed that I always check the site only to find out I've missed grabbing one once again, because the requests go out for a few days and then close before I am even aware of the option.

Please advise. Thanks.
Dear Abby,

I look forward to reading Iraq Through A Bullet Hole: A Civilian Returns Home by Issam Jameel. Thank you so much!!

Kristin
Hi Abby

Still haven't received my copy of Schooled by Anisha Lakhani that was from the June batch. Have already received my July book...The Killing Circle by Andrew Pyper and read it although have not posted my review yet. Received my August book, The Sitting Swing today. Any ideas when Schooled might appear?
Thanks.

The perennial reminder -- andy
re the "TIME" you mentioned in this post, i won't be leaving this address until next year, next june, actually, so any days you want to put me into the meet the author thingie is fine with me.
I was able to "snag" a copy of Massacre of Lithuania's Jews. Lithuanian Collaboration in the Final Solution, 1941-1944 by Karen Sutton, but have not recieved it yet. It's been about six weeks now. What is the normal wait time?

Respectfully,

Ron
Dear Abby,

I was wondering if anyone has received Can I Play Chess on Shabbas by Joe Bobker. When I book came today, I thought it would be Can I Play Chess on Shabbas, but it was In Hovering Flight. Anyway, I wanted to know if my lack of book was systematic or just me. Thanks for all the hard work.

Sincerely yours,

Jaron HM
Just wondering how you get the books -- are you picked out of a hat? I just was wondering because when I signed up this months book there were only 296 requests when I placed mine. Just wanting to know how it all works. I see that people are getting books from last month and also July and I have never gotten one yet -- I just would like to share the wealth. Let me know

Thanks so much

Tania
Dear Abby,
I was so thrilled to snag a couple of books last month! Am just finishing my 2nd, and have to tell you how cool I feel to be in this group! Love discovering new things, books, authors, restaurants, artists, parts of the world,,,everything. So I am very much enjoying being in group of book adventurers. Will try to overcome my shyness and post on Early Reviewers more.
Thanks, I can only imagine how much work this all is for you. Don't think it goes unnoticed.
Warmest Wishes,
Frederika

Thanks for the news about the August book I've snagged - I still haven't received the book from July [Protect and Defend by Vince Flynn]; has there been a problem or should I still be patient?
thank you Abby, Shona
how do i actually read the books in my library?
how do i actually read the books in my library?
Hi Abby,

Just want to alert you that i never received my copy of LOOSE GIRL.

David
Thank you! I got Color Mastery: 10 Principles for Creating Stunning Quilts by Maria Peagler a couple of days ago. I realize that I need to add the book to my library in order to review it. However, because it hasn't been released to Amazon yet, I am having difficulties trying to get it added/uploaded. I see it is listed under 3 other members' libraries already but I have no idea on how they got it added. Help! :) Do I have to add it manually?

Thanks,
Monica Z.
I got it yesterday.

Thanks,
Wanda
How do I know if you have my updated address?

Thank you,

hi

pleaze help me!!!!
Of any complaint I've ever had this is the biggest. Why can't I add my holdings to an existing record on LT? I keep deleting the record from my catalog but when I do that and try to re-add the same inferior record is the only one I can add. I've tried to make the change 5 or 6 times so far. I lost the reviews I wrote because of the problem. LT creates a unique record for the book I'm trying to add. This is a book I've review so I'd like other who own it to be able to see it and I'd like to have the cover display but it won't. I tried to add info about the book below but ---

I think you have made it purposely difficult to report a problem with a particular title or record. Since I clicked into your email from the book's record I assume you know what book I'm talking about. I tried going back to the record and copying the info but then I lost the info in this message to you.

since I can't do any cut and paste here the book I'm having trouble with is The Caravaggio Shawl by Steward.
