About meI'm a physicist with a passion for reading. I specially enjoy Fantasy and Jane Austen. I'm also a great fan of video games and crocheting.

About my libraryI own or have owned most of the books in my library though I've been adding borrowed books that I've read in the last six years or so. Nowadays I buy or mooch almost every book I read but I only keep the ones I might read again. I delight on seeing my shelves full of books but as I shared my room with my sister, the lack of space made me used to decide what to keep and what to give away, and also I cannot help but feel sorry for those books I will never read again and that can find a new home.

There are a lot of Fantasy books and comics in my library. I love almost everything by Neil Gaiman and I'm trying to collect all his books and comics, tough job.

I rate all books I read so a 1/2 star means that I didn't like the book at all.

elwen- I have received The Halfling's Gem that I am angeling for you. It is posted to my inventory (turtlegirl on BM) as Angel Book #5 reserved in your name. I'm trying to get everything sent out this Thursday and Friday since I will be leaving Saturday and won't be back in town until the new year.

Kristin
Good news! The magazine arrived in the mail today! I'm not sure why they were marked lost and the sender's account closed, but at any rate, I have it. I'm going now to reserve it for you.
Bad news on the Interweave Crochet magazine. It had been marked sent a few days ago, but now has been marked lost and the sender's account has been closed. It looks like she accepted a bunch of requests, mooched several books, and then quit. So I'm sorry that one won't be on its way.

Once again, thanks for telling me about the Ravelry site; I've already made a couple projects from patterns I found there.
The mooch for Interweave Crochet Magazine Fall 2008 has been accepted with a mailing date to me of December 6th. I'll keep you posted.

I had never heard of Ravelry, so I googled it when I saw your comment and now I am a member and have sent the link off to three friends who will be interested. Thanks for the tip. :-)
The book I am angeling for you, Those Who Hunt The Night by Barbara Hambly, has arrived. I will be reserving it for you later today.
I'm just glad we straightened that all out.
and I'm glad someone will end up with the book. :D
Thanks again!
Long thread are difficult. :D Another member? I am confused. I think someone else from the US (?) wanted it too if I remember, which is what I mean by no points being wasted, as I felt bad if an angels points were being spent and the book had no home... I am sorry for causing this confusion! And thanks so much for your help, and being an Angel!
Angela,
I have now received both Vampire Players Guide and Wired Women. I posted both to BM reserved in your name.

Kristin
Elwen,

I just wanted to give you an update. I have received Vampire Players Guide, and Wired Women has been sent out to me by the owner (our very own Markwp). I'll let you know when I get it.

Kristin
Angela,

I was able to get it this morning. I was surprised it was still available since you posted your comment on Saturday and I was gone on vacation and didn't get back until last night. I'll let you know when the books arrive.

Kristin
Angela,

If you find another book you want, let me know and I'll try to get it for you. I know there's not much to choose from in my inventory. I have a handful of books that no one seems to want, and then I have books that get mooched as soon as I post them.

Kristin
Hi Angela,

Sent your book today, you should have it within a week or so.

No problem waiting on Girl Interrupted - I looked at her list of "to sends" and I'm glad I didn't overburden her by directly mooching it!

My daughter saw me shipping your book to Spain today and got all excited. She asked if you could please send her a postcard with the book. If it's too much trouble, don't worry about it. I had no idea she was so taken with Spain, I'll have to find her a book about it!

Thanks,
Brenda
Hi Elwen,

Your book is here, Vampires and Vamprism - in very good condition. I'm having problems getting Bookmooch to respond right now, but as soon as I can get on, I'll put it up reserved for you. I'm "ask first", but go ahead and skip right through that and mooch it. I'll mail it Monday or Tuesday.

Take Care,
Brenda
Hi elwen,

Just a quick note to let you know that your book has arrived safely and is reserved for you on bookmooch. Happy mooching!

brochettes :-)
My pleasure with the invite. Always glad to hear what other people are finding on PG. I'm working my way through a lot of the golden age sci-fi right now, stuff like John W. Campbell, Doc Smith, and Edgar Rice Burroughs. A lot of those old Astounding Sci Fi/Amazing Stories guys let the copyrights lapse on the short stories published in those old pulp rags, so there's actually quite a bit more available from that era than you might expect.
I love the Weis and Hickman Dragonlance novels. Have you seen the move adaptation of the first book? It's not very book. The animation is okay, but the combination of ink and comp-graphics was odd.
Hola, niña. Vaya cara de malota que traes hoy.
