Hello Valerie~
I posted Harriet's autobiographies to you today so you should receive them shortly. Enjoy!

Thanks for the birthday wishes, Valerie -- it does seem odd being 60. On my way to work today NPR was reprising the events of 40 years ago when Russia rolled into Czechoslovakia to crush the Prague Spring. I still have very vivid memories of that day and hearing the news -- I was in Seattle with my first love (there were more to come), who was about to ship out for Vietnam -- later that week we listened to disastrous Chicago Democratic presidential convention as we drove to San Francisco. Ah -- the more things change, the more they stay the same. -- Jane
Wow Valerie. What an utterly wicked unfolding of the plot.
Hi Valerie,

I can't think how I ended up blocking you from my website. How bizarre. You should be able to access it now.
Dear Valerie,

My apologies. I've been ill, and my mother mailed Loving Without Tears for me. It was returned in my mail today, for a 20 cent postage gap! (How it could have been paid for electronically without being accurate, I don't know.) In any case, it will go out again, tonight or tomorrow, promptly.

I'm sorry for the delay. - But it will come. And, hopefully, be enjoyed. :)

Best wishes,

Julie
Thank you, Valerie -- I'm looking forward to it!

Liz
Hey Valerie:

I have no idea how much postage to the UK is from North Carolina, but I'll find out. I was hesitant to say I'd ship all over the world before I even got started. If the cost is reasonable, I'll let you mooch it from me; I'll let you know, possibly tomorrow. I didn't bring the book with me to work today, so can't figure postage til I have it in hand.

I just joined BookMooch last week and only put my books out this morning and have already had 3 requests! Plus your "almost" request.

Regards,
Karen
Dear Valerie - so glad you liked it. Best wishes Julie
Dear Valerie - thank you for your address - it will be winging its way to you this afternoon. I hope you enjoy perusing it. In my opinion it is a particularly lovely little booklet. Best wishes Julie
I am very glad to hear it has arrived!
Enjoy reading it!!
Life is very hectic at the moment, for a variety of reasons, but I am enjoying my vacation time.
Happy reading, Valerie.

Hugs
Paola :-))
Dear Valerie - Thank you very much for adding my library to your interesting library list - I enjoyed browsing yours and see we share a good number. Do hope that you are finding LT as excellent as many of do. Although I have always read widely LT has really broadened my horizons and allowed me to meet friends from many different parts of the world. Warm wishes Julie
englishrose, thank you for adding me to your interesting library list. You certainly have some lovely viragos and we seem to have just enough in common in our libraries to guarantee similar interests but enough different to look for good books to read. I am so glad you are part of our little coterie! Maren
Thanks for adding my library to your list on interesting ones. It looks like we have a lot of classics in common!
Good Morning, dear VMC! My lovely volumes and I thank you for
the compliment!
Hi EnglishRose: thanks for the compliment! Viragoites of the world unite!
What are you when you're at BookMooch?
You are very welcome!
I do enjoy reading your posts, which are always interesting and intelligent.
:-))
Great--I will get Troy Chimneys in the mail by Wednesday. Enjoy!
Dear Valerie,

I'm so glad you've joined our Virago group and another welcome
to the wonderful world of LT! It's great fun all around.

Are you familiar with Persephone Books?
They've been reprinting lovely women writers as well. They're based in London. (If you click
on the above in blue, it will take you to their site.) I suppose they're most popular one is
Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day because of the recent release of the movie. (Which is very, very charming!)

Many of us in the Virago group are also in the Persephone Group. We'd love to have you
join there as well!

A sunny Saturday to you!
Kind regards,
Cate
