I've been spending time thinking about what kinds of books/what pieces of the collection to put into LibraryThing, and have decided that book collections that aren't brought together by call# or subject heading probably will work best and benefit the most, but that's just my assumption. How do you use LT?

At Uni High, we've put all of our graphic novels on LibraryThing. Because our library's collection is integrated with the university's, it's sometimes difficult to search our collection specifically. Since we'd like to promote our graphic novels and because students are often asking for them anyway, we're hoping that browsing for graphic novels online becomes much easier via LibraryThing. But we're still trying to figure out how to test this!
At Delany we have set it up for the L_TAG (Library teen advisory group, which includes a book club) to add books for everyone to share. It is a great place for students to learn about tagging, and we get to edit them from time to time.
Our main problem is that we 'lost' our collection a year or so back, and this is a re-start.
Tomorrow students will be adding to LibraryThing for our school Open Day.
